McFARLAND CONSTRUCTION CELEBRATES ITS 10TH ANNIVERSARY
Charlotte, NC, April 22, 2020 – McFarland Construction (“McFarland”) is celebrating 10 years of business providing premium commercial general contracting and construction management services. As a diverse small business, this achievement marks a significant milestone for the firm. Founded in 2010 by McFarland’s President and CEO, Tino McFarland, the firm has grown from a home office with two employees, to a team of over 40 professionals dedicated to providing comprehensive service offerings with specialized expertise in a variety of construction sectors.
Headquartered in Charlotte, NC, McFarland maintains operations in Virginia Beach, VA and Fayetteville, NC to support the firm’s growth. McFarland’s footprint has expanded beyond North Carolina as a licensed contractor in Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and Washington, DC. McFarland is a trusted service provider to a number of high profile clients. McFarland is also working in concert with other partners on marquee projects, including the Duke Energy Metro Tower, Expansion of Concourse A at Charlotte-Douglas International Airport, Marriott Hotel and Conference Center at UNC Charlotte, Mecklenburg County Community Resource Center in North Charlotte, Innovation Barn in Charlotte’s Belmont Neighborhood, and Virginia Tech’s new Corps Leadership and Military Science Building and Upper Quad Residence Hall.
“As we celebrate our 10th anniversary, we are truly grateful for the enduring relationships with our clients, trade and design partners, our dedicated employees, and business advocates who have played a big role in McFarland’s growth and success,” said Tino McFarland, President & CEO. “We founded the company on the values of commitment, collaboration, and community. We have surrounded ourselves with clients, employees and partners who share those same attributes. Moving forward, our focus remains on building relationships on trust, staying true to our core values, and having a positive impact on our community. These principles have helped us achieve this milestone and will continue to drive our business for years to come.”
As a minority-owned, small business, McFarland is honored to achieve this milestone. Rodney Gaddy, retired Senior Vice President at Duke Energy, reflects on McFarland’s growth by noting, “McFarland is a great example of building capacity for diverse business in our community. McFarland is one of Charlotte’s own and they have invested in great people, trusted partners, and high-quality delivery. Hats off to Tino and the entire McFarland team for being a great example for building business capacity in our diverse corporate base.” McFarland maintains strong ties to the Charlotte community by supporting a range of organizations as a responsible corporate citizen. The firm is also dedicated to developing meaningful diversity programs that continue to support MWSBE businesses, having a lasting impact on the Charlotte construction industry.
While any formal celebrations have been paused due to the COVID-19 crisis, McFarland intends to occupy its new offices in the Addison Building on East Morehead in May where it has doubled the square footage of office operations. McFarland is grateful to maintain its workforce levels in the midst of this pandemic. The company is on the forefront of implementing safety measures to protect its clients, trade partners, and employees while delivering on building commitments during these difficult times.
