TINO MCFARLAND   |   President & CEO

As Founder, CEO and President, Tino oversees the McFarland Construction service offering, ensuring our core values of Community-Commitment-Collaboration are accounted for in all of our client, civic and company engagements. During Tino’s 17+ year career in the construction industry, he has developed a broad set of business, project management and planning skills resulting in transferable value to our clients and partners.

Tino holds a B.S. in Civil/Structural Design and has an MBA Finance. Some of Tino’s continuing education activities include the Bell Leadership Institute, Leadership Charlotte and Bank of America Supplier Development Training. Tino has been involved with a number of community organizations such as the Arts and Science Council, National Black MBA Association, YMCA, Leadership Charlotte and the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce.

GENE HARRIS   |   Director of Client Services

Gene brings 20 years of experience in commercial and institutional construction, with significant experience administrating corporate real-estate projects. Gene ensures that the McFarland Construction project team fully understands client objectives and is providing a consistent and comprehensive approach to project collaboration.

Gene earned his B.S. in Architectural Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University. During his career Gene has developed an active relationship with the National Science Foundation as a Panelist-Reviewer of Proposals for Academic research infrastructure facilities modernization programs. Gene is also a member of ABC, Charlotte Chamber of Commerce and the International Facilities Management Association. In addition to Gene’s service to organizations, he is a volunteer coach for youth basketball programs.

TOD HAWLEY  |   Operations Manager

Tod Hawley is a talented construction professional with excellent planning, organization and resource management skills. With over 22 years of experience in the construction industry, Tod is effective at developing and maintaining long-term relationships with customers, design and vendor partners. Tod adds value to McFarland Construction by serving as a key liaison between customers and internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of the firms services.

Tod is a Graduate of East Carolina University with a B.S. in Construction Management, and has LEED Green Associate Accreditation. Tod has an active interest in the community serving as the logistic chairperson on the committee that organizes and runs the yearly “Petpalooza” Fund Raiser Event.

JAMARIO POOLE   |   Corporate Safety Engineer
Jamario has several years of construction related experience and has implemented safety training for numerous projects throughout the Charlotte, North Carolina area. As the Corporate Safety Engineer, Jamario works closely with the McFarland Construction project team to maintain focus and implanting strict safety standards on project engagements. Jamario is responsible for facilitating all of McFarland’s safety, OSHA compliance and safe work practices, liability and risk Management Programs.

Jamario has a B.A in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a Master of Science in Technology Management with Concentration in Occupational Health and Safety from North Carolina A&T State University. Jamario is passionate with his faith and love for helping others, he serves as youth pastor at Reflections Church.

JAIMI JONES   |   Marketing Manager
With a strong background in both marketing and proposal writing, Jaimi is responsible for these efforts for McFarland. Her career has included proposal writing for the wireless telecommunications industry, commercial real estate and the financial industry; as well as advertising experience in radio and television.

Jaimi will be involved in maintaining an organized and timely proposal process, and will also be handling communications and customer satisfaction efforts, working to ensure we are always in tune with our work and mutual objectives of the client partnership.


TAMARA MCFARLAND   |   Human Resource Manager
Since the start of McFarland Construction, Tamara has played a significant role in shaping employee policy and the culture of the organization. She has 7 years of experience managing the talent selection, development and retention strategies for McFarland. Through this experience, Tamara has developed a wealth of HR knowledge and an established network, both of which are actively leveraged to support the talent management and employer compliance requirements associated with McFarland’s continuous growth.

Tamara’s broad experience includes benefits, employee relations, payroll, talent acquisition and management. The foundation for Tamara’s experience and contributions to McFarland are her unique people skills coupled with her formal education, which includes a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration earned from the University of North Carolina Charlotte.

JOSHUA WALLACE   |   Senior Project Manager

Josh is an experienced and versatile professional with 15+ years of experience managing all aspects of construction. With extensive experience in environmental remediation, shell and core construction, and interior renovations; Josh is a well versed member of the McFarland Construction Team. He offers the ability to partner with company leaders and construction teams to plan, schedule, estimate, purchase, contract, bid, document, and execute project plans on time and within budget. Joshua readily adapts to change, works well independently or in team setting and has the ability to provide a high level of customer service in fast paced environments, all while meeting project objectives.

Josh holds a B.S. in Organization Leadership from Purdue University and is a qualifier for McFarland Construction’s GC License. Josh is an active in the Charlotte community and volunteer as a little league baseball coach.

CYNTHIA INGRAM   |   Office Manager / Financial Analyst

Along with handling the day-to-day activities necessary to run an office, Cynthia is well versed in managing project financial documentation and invoicing procedures. With extensive experience reviewing, preparing and tracking work orders, payment applications and lien documents, Cynthia ensures projects are tracked and invoiced accurately and in a timely manor.
